Man arrested after reports of a ‘gun’ being pointed at car in Peterborough
A man was arrested by armed police after reports of a gun being pointed at a car in Peterborough.
At 7.30am yesterday morning CCTV operators in the city centre spotted what they thought was a man pointing a hand-gun at a car which he then tucked into his waistband and walked off.
A 40-year-old man was arrested in Stanley Recreation Ground later, and police recovered an imitation firearm..The weapon turned out to be a very realistic looking imitation firearm.
The has been arrested on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and released under investigation.
