Public meeting called after spate of arsons attacks in the Ortons

A public meeting has been called after a series of arson attacks in the Ortons in Peterborough.
Representatives from Cambridgeshire Police as well as the Fire and Rescue Service will be in attendance to give any update and to take questions from residents.

Hide AdThe meeting will take place at Herlington Community Centre in Orton Malborne between 6:30pm and 7:30pm on March 29.
The meeting has been called after Orton was hit twice in two weeks with a series of deliberate fires.
First, on March 12, two cars were set on fire in Saltmarsh, Orton Malborne and The Village, Orton Longueville.
At just after midnight, five cars were set alight outside of sheltered accommodation in Cheyney Court, Orton Malborne.

Hide AdThen, arsonists targeted a signal box at Nene Valley Railway in Orton Mere in the early hours of Monday.
The following week, on March 19, crews were forced to respond to two cars being set alight in Shortfen as well as another one at 2am in Bodesway. both Orton Malborne.
Police are yet to make any arrests but have linked all of the incidents.
