Hide AdPaul (40), a childminder, said; “When lockdown started I decided I would try and cheer a few neighbours up with the disco.
“I set up a Facebook group saying it would happen, and a few friends asked me to stream it - I got 100 likes in three minutes.
“By the second week I had 450 comments and requests, and this week I had 4,500 viewers watching live. My dad was watching in Canada, and we had people watching in places including Florida and Australia
While Paul is not a DJ, he has kit including lights, which he uses for the discos at St John’s School, where his children attend.

We have people coming out to listen in their garden.
“We point the speakers in both directions up the street - we have had people say they can hear us in Southfields Drive.
“It is entirely a requests show - no-one wants to hear my music all night - so we have a real range of styles that we play.
“We have been very lucky with the weather so far, but if it did rain, we would find a way to do it. I said we would do it every Saturday night during lockdown, and we’ll find a way to do that.

The driveway disco takes place between 6.30pm and 8.30pm on Saturdays. To find the stream, search for Doorstep Disco on Facebook.
