Demand for the fast food chain remains very high on the fourth day since re-opening, with six outlets available across the city.
Police were even forced to intervene on Wednesday - the day the drive-thrus re-opened - due to the mad rush to get to the restaurant in Boongate.

Hide AdAt the time, police told the Peterborough Telegraph: “Officers attended the McDonald’s in Padholme Road East to assist with the flow of traffic in the area. The road was not closed and officers assisted while McDonald’s staff reassessed their drive-thru policy to deal with demand.”
McDonald's is trialling the re-opening of its drive-thrus after closing due to the coronavirus pandemic.
It said it may be forced to close some of the outlets if it felt people were being put at risk.
The Peterborough Telegraph has contacted Cambridgeshire police to ask if it has been called to assist with traffic flow.
