BURGHLEY SIXES: Pigs plunder semi-final spot after Hobbiss' hot streak powers hosts through
Hobbiss added an unbeaten 55 in a 20-run win over the fancied Ketton side in a quarter-final tie to add to the unbeaten 40 he scored in the first round win over Market Overton.
Hobbiss’ hot form enabled Burghley to post a formidable five-over score of 92-1 which proved too many even for the hard hitters in the Ketton side.

Hide AdBurghley now face a tasty semi-final tonight with last season’s runners-up Nassington.
Ufford Park’s Ross Keymer also batted well last night to help his side escape from early trouble in their quarter-final against Uppingham.
Ufford looked dead and buried when losing three early wickets in pursuit of Uppingham’s 71-3, but Keymer’s 37 not out guided them home with two balls to spare.
Baston left it even later before pipping Newborough to the last semi-final berth. The Pigs scraped pasdt Newborough’s 69-2 with a ball in hand.

Baston and Ufford Park now clash in tonight’s second semi-final.
The final will also be staged this evening at approximately 7.30pm.

BURGHLEY PARK 92-1 (M. Hobbiss 55no) beat KETTON 72-1.
